Dr. Claudia Leandres, PhD, BCBA, LBA
Journey Therapy Center is a Pediatric Therapy Clinic that provides high-quality therapy to children with autism and related disorders. Our history started when our founder, Dr. Claudia Leandres had her child diagnosed with autism. After searching for answers and services to help her son, she decided that her life would be better served by helping her son and others as a Behavior Analyst instead of as an attorney.
She finished her Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and opened Journey Therapy Center in 2018 with the purpose of continuing helping her son and offering services for families with children diagnosed with autism.
Dr. Leandres has over 10 years of experience in providing services to children on the autism spectrum and related disorders. She has served these populations in ABA clinics, family home settings, and other community settings. Dr. Leandres has a wealth of experience in behavioral and skill assessment, program development and implementation, and coordination with caregivers on individualized care.
Dr. Leandres’ academic and research interests are in the areas of Verbal Behavior, and Functional Analysis of severe problem behavior. Her educational background includes Masters from Oakland University and PhD degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Our Mission
Journey Therapy Center aims to provide high quality ABA therapy services to individuals with autism and other behavior related challenges to reach their fullest potential, improve outcomes, experience independence and ultimately, help them to live a life with purpose, respect and dignity while also serving as a rich resource for families and individuals affected by ASD.
Our Vision
We envision a world where all children with ASD are recognized for their individual strengths, not their deficits, and have access to the services and supports that they need in order to live their best possible lives.
